Black Malvasia is an own daughter of Cabernet's Pinot Blanc, the 1999 ALSA Medium Wool National Grand Champion, ALSA Halter Champion, and ALSA Get of Sire Champion. Her mother Cabernet's Barberra is a daughter of Castenero (ILR #R164101), the 1998 ALSA Medium Wool National Grand Champion.

In her first 4 shows, Sandy won two Heavy Wool Grand Champions and two Reserve Grand Champions. She obtained her ALSA ROM in just 4 shows. Besides being flashy and very correct, Sandy has exquisite ropy fiber. Her fleece is being prepared for the summer ALSA Fleece Shows. She is qualified for ALSA Regionals and Nationals.
